Here is my "problem", if you can consider this a problem. For some reasons, I feel that I am wasting my time if I am reading. There are many books and other documents that I need to read. Not want, but need. I have to. However, I feel  like I should be writing instead of reading. But to write something I have to know it. How do I know the subject if I don't read it? This "problem" has been there for quite sometime. Because of this I am actually wasting my time; not reading and not writing. I guess, I have to read and give it a time (and schedule) so that I know that I am working. Reading is working . That's what I should have felt. It is still a problem for me to digest that. Reading is working. Reading is working. Reading is working. Maybe if I say it many times, I will believe in it.

Everytime I go to a bookstore, I bring book(s) out of the store. My wallet suffers a bit. That's not my main worry. My main concern is I keep on piling books. My to read list is getting longer and longer ... and longer. I think this is my new law (BR's law on books): the speed of buying books > the speed of reading books Ugh ... I think I am not the only one.

Two days ago, Hafiz gave me this paper: The Uneasy Relationship Between Mathematics and Cryptography Export by: Neal Koblitz Notices of the AMS, Vol. 54, No. 8. (September 2007), pp. 973-979. Done reading it. Wow. It's a great article explaining what happened behind the hood. Need more articles like this. Anybody?

I have just finished reading Malcom Gladwell's "Outliers" book. Phew... It's a good book, just like his previous books; "Blink" and "Tipping Point". I should've finished reading it sooner but all the busy work that I've got slowed me down. I am glad it's done. (I hope you don't think that I feel reading is a chore.) Now, the next step is to pick a book from my to-read stack. Apparently, picking the next book is not easy. So, last night I took 5 books and started skimming those books. None wowed me. (Perhaps I was just too tired.) So this morning I brought another book with me. In the end I just read a few paragraphs from various book. Arrrggghhh. I should be able to pick one book and read it! I'll do it as soon as possible. I have to do it to clean my to-read stack (which is impossible since I receive new books faster than I manage to read them). Arrrggghhh...
