Coffee Shops in Bandung

Last night, I was in a brand new coffee shop. This is just one of the newest coffee shops in Bandung. I can safely say that every month there is a new one in Bandung. (I could stretch it to every week.) Bandung is a coffee shop city. Last night was the second time I went to this coffee shop. The first one, I went there a few days ago. It was weekday and not many people were there. I ordered a local coffee, Flores. It was great. In fact, it was perfect. Last night was different. It was Saturday night and it was packed with young people. I guess they found out that this is the place to be for this particular time. So everybody and their friends were there. (This is incorrect though. Neighboring coffee shops were also packed!) Food was a little late. They ran out of the Flores coffee. Ugh. So, I ordered whatever they have at that time. It came late. Yes, this is the down side of being popular. Fortunately, the coffee was good! So, it canceled whatever un-coordination that happen...

Mafia Fried Rice

A couple weeks ago, friends came to Bandung and asked me what's new in Bandung. They were looking for something to eat. My answer was ... "Mafia Fried Rice" (Nasi Goreng Mafia). Where can you get it? Krang Kring cafe is one of them. To be frankly, I haven't had a chance to test it myself. I heard it is spicy. Well, my stomach is very sensitive to spicy food. Ugh. So there is a chance that I may not be able to taste it. I know some people, including my nice, who always ask for "nasi goreng mafia" if we ask them what to bring home. Next time, I'll find it and take a picture :)

New Food Buzz in Bandung

Bandung is a food barometer in Indonesia. Well, not just food, but also fashion. This post is the food side. Next time, I'll post the fashion side. I am so glad that I live in this city. The new food buzz in Bandung is Bon Chon. This is a Korean-franchised fast food. It's the Korean KFC, sort of. Their favorite menu is the honey-glazed chicken. It's sweet and a little better compared to KFC, in my opinion of course. The rest is similar to KFC. The place is always packed with people. It's just a wave. Let see how long this will last. In the mean time, let me enjoy these drumsticks.

Eat Now. Diet Tomorrow.

this is what I have in front of me

Meeting == food?

Does meeting equal food? To use, the answer is yes! Like right now. I am in the middle of a training session (it's a network security training) and am surrounded by food. Here's an example ... That's just an example. I've got more photos here. Seriously. The problem is not the photos, but I actually ate them! Three words: Oh my God!

Colorful Food

These are pictures of food that I have taken recently. Look at their colors ... wow!

Want some?

Noodle and meat balls ( mie baso ) is a (very) common Indonesian food. This one has fried tofu in it. I love my mie baso plain, but most people would put soya sauce and ... chilli sauce. Hot! Yummy.

Yummy ...

Watching my Diet

Yesterday I had to watch what I eat. My family and I went to Pascal Hypersquare food arena. I ordered "tempe mendoan," "baso tahu," and "martabak San Francisco." Sorry no screenshot. I forgot to take pictures. In the evening, I didn't feel that good. No, I was not sick, but just didn't feel alright. Maybe it was because I ate too much (with that kind of food). ha ha ha. So, there was no dinner for me. Just fruits. ... ouch! There's a saying that goes something like this; "When I was young, I could not afford to buy (fancy, expensive) food. Now I have the money to buy, but I am not allowed to eat that food (because of age / health)." What can you do?
