I was adding songs into my music player. This time I am using Banshee on my Linux desktop computer. One thing that brings to my attention is that I've got songs unordered. Looking carefully, it is the annoying "the". Some of the songs in my collection has the word "The" as part of the artist (band) name. Some don't. An example would be "The Beatles". They ended up in different list; "The Beatles" and just "Beatles". Aaarrrggghhh. So annoying. One of the problems with English, I suppose. (On a side note. What is the correct name of the band, "The Beatles" I suppose?) Oh, by the way, iTunes recognizes this and ignores the "The" when sorting the artists. Good job! (And I have just realized that Nightingale also knows the The. yayyy)

yesterday, I was asked to tutor a bunch of students on how to give presentation in English. Mind you, English is not our first languange. Heck, it is probably our third or fourth languange. So, it was a challenging situation - an undestatement. On top of that, my tutorial was part of a 3-day tutorial. I didn't know what was given before my sesion. The session started with a contunuation of previous session, which was making a presentation. (Again, I didn't know what they were taught before.) So, I went along. Then, it was the presentation session. I divided the class into 5 to 6 person groups. There were 6 groups. And I told them that each of the member has to talk in front. How they divide was up to them. Presentation was set at 18-minutes/group. I asked the group to come forward one by one and I took notes of their presentations. Arrrggghhh... I have not had a chance to watch English Premier Football League (EPFL). The reasons is that Astro (a satellite TV operator here) took an exclusive license to the English Premier League and I am using Indovision (Astro's competitor). EPFL is no longer available in my TV. Grrrr... Now this. Jose Mourinho, Chelsea's coach, is out. I've just read it in a newspaper. It is still not clear to me what's the fiasco all about. Anybody? Chelsea is my favorite team. Definitely Mourinho's departure will effect Chelsea performance. They have had a tough time last season. They don't need this. Argh. What can I do? Switch team? Not yet!
