cellphone interference to iPod's volume

I put both my iPod nano and cellular phone (Nokia 6230) in my shirt pocket. I noticed on several occasions that if I received an SMS the volume of my iPod suddenly was turned down. Has anybody noticed this? I don't know whether this is by design (a feature?) or an accident (a bug). In one occasion I cannot control the volume after that (the respon was slow). So, I am assuming that this was not by design. I even affraid that this could harm my iPod in the future. Good thing the volume is turned down not up! Otherwise I would hurt my ears.

How does it work, anyway?
Why is it happening?
Can electromagnetic wave effect the volume of my iPod?

I want to know the physics (theory) behind it. Hints?

I have no idea, but mine turned UP. And I seriously hurt my ears. Thank god that volume control thing is coming out!

I had the same issue...
i tried calling my own voice mail and waved my phone across the screen of my video....its like wireless controll..i sorta like it...
my liking it ,might have something to do with the fact that my ipod and cell phone are in two diff places...never together

More bad news with Malaysia - Indonesia

I've got more emails and news about bad news between Indonesia and Malaysia. To be exact, there was a news about RELA (not sure what that is) that goes out after Indonesians in Malaysia. There were incidents where they hit Indonesians, rob, and do horrible things. I cannot even write this is my blog. I am so sad and frustrated. What's going on with Malaysia (and Malaysians)? What did we - Indonesian(s) - do to deserve this? I thought there should be less boundary between Indonesia and Malaysia. But ... What's going on there, bro & sis? You know, more Indonesians now feel that they are offended by Malaysians. I can tell you that this bad feeling is increasing. This is a bad publicity towards Malaysia. People are now creating various calling names, such as "Malingsia" (it's a short of "maling" [thief] "siah" [you, Sundanese]), and worse.

Tenggang waktu sebelum domain (.ID) didaur ulang?

Saat ini setelah domain tidak membayar, maka status domain akan berubah menjadi hold. Pada kondisi ini domain tidak dapat di query /hilang namun domain belum dapat dilepas ke publik kembali. Saat ini belum ada aturan kapan domain yang sudah mati ini dapat digunakan kembali, mungkin oleh orang lain. Sudah saatnya ada kejelasan mengenai daurulang ( recycle ) nama domain ini. Ada dua usulan batas waktu ekstrim: Satu (1) tahun setelah domain mati. Kontra: kelamaan Tiga (3) bulan setelah domain mati. Kontra: terlalu cepat Nah mohon masukan, masukan mana yang lebih baik dipilih? Atau kalau ada usulan lain, mohon diutarakan beserta alasannya.
